Passwordless login with biometrics or security keys
Overview
Passkey is a modern authentication method replacing passwords, using biometrics (fingerprint, face) or hardware security keys.
More secure than passwords, cannot be stolen, phishing-resistant, and fast login experience.

Create Passkey
Steps
1. Login to Odoo with password as usual
2. Go to My Profile → Account Security
3. Passkeys tab, click "Add Passkey"
4. Enter name for passkey (e.g., "iPhone 15", "MacBook Pro")
5. System requests biometric authentication (fingerprint, Face ID)
6. Passkey created and saved on device
7. Next login: Only biometric needed, no password
Login with Passkey
Steps
1. Go to Odoo login page
2. Enter username (email)
3. Click "Login with Passkey" instead of entering password
4. System requests biometric authentication
5. Login successful, skip 2FA

Manage Passkeys
Key points
• View passkey list: My Profile → Account Security → Passkeys
• Delete passkey: Click delete button next to unused passkey
• Rename passkey: Click edit to change description
• Lost passkey: Create new passkey on another device or login with password
Troubleshooting
Common Errors
