Goals Management
Create and track employee work goals
The Goals module enables managing employee work goals, tracking completion progress, and linking goals to performance appraisals. The system supports hierarchical goals, reusable goal templates, and goal categorization with tags.
Create new goal
HR Officers, HR Managers, or direct managers can create goals for employees.
Steps
1. Go to Appraisals → Goals
2. Click New
3. Fill in Goal Name - short description of the goal
4. Select Employee to assign the goal to
5. Fill in Description with detailed goal information
6. Select Deadline if applicable
7. Select Manager to track the goal
8. Add Tags to categorize the goal
9. Click Save

Track goal progress
Employees and managers can update goal progress in real-time.
Steps
1. Open the goal to update
2. Update the Progress field with completion level
3. Choose from levels: 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%
4. Click Save
5. Progress will display on dashboard and in appraisals

Hierarchical Goals
You can create sub-goals under parent goals to break down large goals into smaller ones.
Key points
• Parent goal automatically calculates progress from sub-goals
• Can create multiple levels of goals (sub-goals of sub-goals)
• Each sub-goal can have its own deadline
• Sub-goals can be assigned to different employees
Steps
1. Open the parent goal
2. In the Sub Goals tab, click Add a line
3. Create a new sub-goal or select an existing goal
4. Click Save
5. When all sub-goals reach 100%, parent goal automatically becomes 100%
Goal Templates
Save goals as templates to reuse for multiple employees.
Steps
1. Open the goal to save as template
2. Click Action → Save as Template
3. System saves this goal as a template (not linked to specific employee)
4. Template can be reused for multiple employees
Use goal templates
Create goals for multiple employees from existing templates.
Steps
1. Go to Appraisals → Goals
2. Find goal template (no employee assigned)
3. Click Generate Goals
4. Select employees to assign the goal to
5. System creates a copy of the goal for each employee
6. Each copy can be edited independently
Categorize goals with Tags
Use tags to categorize and search goals easily.
Key points
• Create tags at Appraisals → Configuration → Goal Tags
• Attach multiple tags to one goal
• Example tags: "Skills", "Project", "Personal Development", "KPI", "OKR"
• Filter goals by tag in the list

Link goals to appraisals
Goals automatically appear in employee appraisals to serve as evaluation basis.

SMART Goals
Create goals following SMART principles to ensure effectiveness.

Search and filter goals
Use filters to find goals quickly.

• Filter by employee: View all goals for one employee
• Filter by progress: Find incomplete, in-progress, or completed goals
• Filter by deadline: Find goals approaching or past deadline
• Filter by tag: Find goals by type or project
• Group by department, manager, or status
