Documents - Product
Centralized product document management
Documents Product module integrates document management with product system, allowing product creation from documents and automatic document attachment to products.
Supports search by product/variant and classification with standard tags.
Configure module
Enable Documents integration in Inventory settings.
Steps
1. Go to Inventory → Configuration → Settings.
2. Find Documents section.
3. Enable Centralize Product Documents option.
4. Select Product Folder to store documents.
5. Select Product Tags to auto-assign tags.
6. Click Save to save configuration.

Create product from documents
Upload product documents (datasheet, specs, MSDS) and create product directly from Documents.
Key points
• Documents are automatically linked to product.
• Can create multiple products from multiple documents at once.
Steps
1. Upload product document to Documents (Product folder).
2. Select document and click Create Product.
3. Fill product information: Name, Category, Price.
4. Click Save to create product.
5. Document will automatically attach to product.
Manage product documents
Attach documents to product from product form or from Documents.
Steps
1. From product form: Go to Documents tab, click Upload.
2. From Documents: Select document, click Link to Product, select product.
3. Document will appear in product Documents tab.
Search and filter documents by product
Search documents by product or product variant.
Steps
1. Go to Documents → Product folder.
2. Use filter to filter by Product or Product Variant.
3. View all documents related to product.
Use classification tags
Classify product documents with standard tags.
Key points
• Tags are automatically created when module is installed.
• Can create additional custom tags in Configuration → Tags.
