Sendcloud Delivery
Integrated shipping platform for e-commerce
The Delivery Sendcloud module integrates Sendcloud shipping platform into Odoo, enabling automatic rate calculation, direct label creation from delivery orders and parcel tracking.
Supports multi-package shipments in one batch (multicollo), automatic selection of optimal shipping method by price and return label creation for customers.

Configure Sendcloud Shipping Method
Only administrators can configure API keys. Access panel.sendcloud.sc to get API keys.
Steps
1. Go to Inventory → Configuration → Shipping Methods
2. Click New to create new method
3. Fill Shipping Method (e.g., "Sendcloud Express"), select Provider = Sendcloud, select Delivery Product
4. In SendCloud Configuration tab, enter Sendcloud Public Key and Sendcloud Secret Key
5. Ship From: Select origin country (automatically from default warehouse)
6. Click Save
7. Click Load your products to load shipping product list
8. System displays wizard with available products
9. Select Delivery Product (main shipping product - required)
10. Select Return Product (return product - optional)
11. Click Confirm
Advanced Configuration
Key points
• Default Package Type: Some carriers require package dimensions. Create at Inventory → Configuration → Package Types
• Use Sendcloud shipping rules: Enable if rules configured in Sendcloud account. Rules automatically select method based on conditions
• Use Batch Shipping: Enable to combine multiple packages into one batch (multicollo). Only supports EU domestic shipping
• Functionality Filters: Customize additional functions like insurance, evening delivery, signature
Calculate Shipping Rates on Orders
Sendcloud calculates rates based on weight, address, method and number of packages. All products must have weight.
Steps
1. Create or open Sales Order
2. In Other Info tab, select Delivery Method = Sendcloud method
3. Click Set price or Compute Shipping
4. System automatically calculates total order weight
5. Calls Sendcloud API to get rate
6. Adds shipping cost line to order
7. If order exceeds maximum weight, system automatically splits into multiple packages
Handle Heavy Orders
Key points
• If order exceeds method maximum weight, system automatically splits into multiple packages
• Displayed price = price per package × number of packages
• Message: "Note that this price is for X packages since the order weight is more than the maximum weight allowed"
Create Shipping Labels
After confirming order and validating delivery order, create shipping label by clicking Send to Shipper.
Steps
1. Confirm Sales Order → creates Delivery Order
2. Open Delivery Order
3. Check: Carrier = Sendcloud, Shipping Weight has weight, Recipient Address complete (street, city, zip, country, phone, email)
4. Click Validate to confirm shipment
5. Click Send to Shipper to create Sendcloud label
6. System calls Sendcloud API to create parcel
7. Downloads shipping label (PDF) and attaches to chatter
8. Saves tracking number to Carrier Tracking Ref
9. Saves parcel reference to Sendcloud Parcel Reference
Result After Label Creation
Key points
• In test environment: Label created but automatically cancelled immediately, tracking number not available
• In production environment: Label created and sent to carrier
• Go to delivery order chatter, find message "Shipment created in Sendcloud"
• Click attached file (e.g., "Label-12345.pdf")
• Print label and attach to package
Create Return Labels
Sendcloud supports automatic or manual return label creation. Note: Some Sendcloud products charge for printed but unused return labels.
Key points
• Automatic: Configure Return Label on Delivery on shipping method. Return label automatically created when creating shipping label
• Manual: Open completed delivery order, click Return, select products to return, confirm return picking, click Send to Shipper
• Return label attached in same chatter message
• Customers can use this label to return items
Track Parcels
Key points
• Open delivery order, Carrier Tracking Ref field displays tracking code
• Click tracking icon to open Sendcloud tracking link
• Tracking link leads to Sendcloud page with information: current status, movement history, estimated delivery time, carrier information
Cancel Shipments
Sendcloud allows cancellation if parcel not delivered, notified within 42 days and not previously cancelled.
Steps
1. Open delivery order with label created
2. Click Cancel Shipment
3. System calls Sendcloud API to cancel parcel
4. If conditions not met, system shows error: "The cancellation was rejected for the parcel(s) with the following id..."
Multi-package Shipping (Multicollo)
Multicollo allows combining multiple packages (up to 20) into one shipment batch to save costs. Only supports EU domestic shipping.
Key points
• Conditions: Enable Use Batch Shipping, shipping product supports Multicollo, destination in EU
• Process: Create delivery order with multiple packages, ensure each package has shipping weight and dimensions, click Send to Shipper
• System automatically combines up to 20 packages into one batch, creates multiple batches if more than 20 packages, selects cheapest method for each batch
• Result: Each package has separate parcel ID, all packages in batch have same tracking number, labels for each package downloaded
Common Error Handling

Practical Tips
Key points
• Data preparation: Always enter weight for products, standardize complete customer addresses, create package types with standard dimensions
• Optimize costs: Use Multicollo to combine packages, configure rules in Sendcloud to auto-select cheapest method, check weight range
• Workflow: Test before production, print labels immediately, check tracking
• Handle returns: Consider Return Label on Delivery (convenient but may cost), guide customers, track return picking
