Manage project documents with automatic folders
Documents Project module integrates document management with project system, automatically creates folder for each project and classifies documents with standard tags.
Supports document access from project form and permissions based on project privacy.
Manage project folders
When creating new project, system automatically creates folder in Documents with project name.
Key points
• Folder is automatically created when project is created.
• Folder name matches project name.
• Access rights based on project privacy (Private/Portal/Public).
• Can configure default folder in Settings.
Interface terminology

Upload and organize documents
Upload project documents from project form or directly in Documents.
Steps
1. From project form: Go to Documents tab, click Upload.
2. From Documents: Go to project folder, click Upload or drag and drop files.
3. Assign classification tags (Draft, To Validate, Validated, Deprecated).
4. Documents will automatically link to project.
Access documents from project
View and manage project documents directly from project form.
Steps
1. Open project in Project → Projects.
2. Go to Documents tab to view document list.
3. Check Document Count field to see number of documents.
4. Click document to view details or download.
Classify documents with tags
Use standard tags to classify documents by status.
Key points
• Tags are automatically created when module is installed.
• Can create additional custom tags in Configuration → Tags.
Project document tags

Configure default folder
Configure root folder for all projects.
Steps
1. Go to Project → Configuration → Settings.
2. Find Documents section.
3. Select Default Project Folder.
4. Click Save to save configuration.
Practical tips
Key points
• Use tags to track document status (Draft → To Validate → Validated).
• Mark old documents as Deprecated instead of deleting to keep history.
• Configure project access rights (Private/Portal/Public) to control who can view documents.
• Create subfolders in project folder to organize documents by type (Plans, Reports, Contracts).
• Link documents to tasks or milestones for quick access.
