Odoo Recruitment SMS
Quick communication with applicants via SMS messages
The Recruitment SMS module extends the Recruitment module to send SMS to applicants directly from recruitment records, support bulk SMS sending to multiple applicants at once, and track SMS history sent to each applicant.
Integrated with SMS gateway for automated messaging, use pre-built message templates, and track SMS sending status (Sent, Delivered, Failed). The module is automatically installed when both hr_recruitment and sms are activated.

Interface & Menu
This module extends views in the Recruitment application. The Send SMS button appears in List view and Kanban view of Applications when selecting one or more applicants.

Send SMS to Individual Applicant
Send SMS message to a specific applicant from recruitment record.
Steps
1. Go to Recruitment → Applications
2. Select one applicant (tick checkbox)
3. Click Action → Send SMS
4. SMS Composer window displays with applicant information
5. Enter message content or select Use Template to use pre-built template
6. Click Send SMS to send
7. Check sending status in Chatter tab of applicant record
Send Bulk SMS
Send SMS messages to multiple applicants at once to save time.
Steps
1. Go to Recruitment → Applications
2. Select multiple applicants (tick multiple checkboxes)
3. Click Action → Send SMS
4. Compose common message for all applicants
5. Click Send SMS to send in bulk
6. System sends individual SMS to each applicant
Filter Applicants Before Sending SMS
Use filters to select specific groups of applicants before sending bulk SMS.
Steps
1. Go to Recruitment → Applications
2. Use Filter to filter applicants by Stage, Job Position, or other criteria
3. Example: Stage = Initial Qualification, Job Position = [Specific position]
4. Select all filtered applicants
5. Click Action → Send SMS
6. Compose and send message
Phone Number Validation
Applicants must have valid phone numbers to receive SMS. The system automatically validates phone number format before sending.

• Phone number stored in Mobile or Phone field of applicant
• System automatically validates phone number format
• If number is invalid, SMS will not be sent
• Phone number format must include country code (e.g., +84...)
Using Message Templates
Create and use message templates to save time when sending SMS to applicants.
Steps
1. Go to Settings → Technical → SMS Templates
2. Create new template with Name, Model (hr.applicant), Body (template content)
3. Use dynamic variables: ${object.partner_name}, ${object.job_id.name}, ${object.company_id.name}
4. When sending SMS, select Use Template and choose created template
5. Adjust content if needed before sending

Track SMS History
View SMS history sent to each applicant or all SMS in the system.
Steps
1. View on applicant record: Open record → Chatter tab → view SMS list
2. Each message displays: Content, Send time, Status, Sender
3. View all SMS: Settings → Technical → SMS → SMS
4. Filter by Model (hr.applicant), Date (time range), State (status)
Handle Failed SMS
When SMS has Failed status, check and resolve the following issues.
Steps
1. Check if applicant phone number has correct format
2. Check SMS gateway configuration (Settings → Technical → SMS)
3. Check remaining SMS credits
4. Check internet connection
5. Resend SMS after fixing errors
Interview Invitation Workflow via SMS
Complete workflow to send interview invitations to applicants via SMS.
Steps
1. Filter suitable applicants by Stage or Job Position
2. Select applicants to invite for interview
3. Click Send SMS
4. Select Interview Invitation template
5. Adjust content (specific date, time, location)
6. Send SMS
7. Track sending status in Chatter
8. Wait for applicant response

2. Filter hired applicants: Stage = Contract Proposal
