Stock Fleet - Warehouse and Fleet Integration
Manage dispatching, vehicle assignment, docks, and delivery capacity inside the inventory workflow
The Stock Fleet module connects fleet management with warehouse execution to support dispatch planning around delivery batches. Instead of separating warehouse work from transport planning, teams can assign vehicles, review drivers, manage capacity, and work with dock locations directly from grouped deliveries.
The source guide positions this module as a strong fit for companies that run their own delivery fleet or need load planning for multi-order outbound trips.
Key features
Key points
• Enable Dispatch Management on operation types involved in shipping and receiving.
• Assign vehicles to batch pickings for delivery planning.
• Automatically populate driver and vehicle category data from fleet records.
• Track weight and volume usage percentages against vehicle capacity.
• Manage dock locations per operation type for staging and loading.
• Sort pickings by ZIP code to support route optimization inside a batch.
Important fields
| Fields | Trường dữ liệu | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Dispatch Management | Quản lý điều phối | Operation type setting that enables dispatch-specific delivery logic. |
| Vehicle | Xe | The fleet vehicle assigned to the batch or grouped delivery. |
| Driver | Tài xế | Driver information populated from the assigned vehicle or fleet records. |
| Dock Location | Vị trí bến bãi | The staging or loading dock associated with the batch. |
| Weight % | Trọng lượng % | Percentage of vehicle weight capacity currently used by the planned delivery. |
| Volume % | Thể tích % | Percentage of vehicle volume capacity currently used by the planned delivery. |
Enable dispatch management
Steps
1. Go to Inventory → Configuration → Operation Types.
2. Open the delivery-related operation type you want to use.
3. Enable Dispatch Management.
4. Configure Dock Locations for that operation type if staging docks are used.
5. Save before creating batch transfers.
Create a delivery batch with a vehicle
Steps
1. Go to Inventory → Operations → Batch Transfers.
2. Create a new batch or open an existing one.
3. Select the Vehicle from the fleet list.
4. Review the auto-filled Vehicle Category, Driver, weight capacity, and volume capacity.
5. Add the pickings to the batch.
6. If configured, let the system sort pickings by ZIP code.
Capacity planning
The source guide emphasizes weight and volume percentages so dispatchers can detect over-capacity situations before validating the batch.
Key points
• Capacity percentages help dispatchers spot overload risk before confirming the grouped delivery.
• Standardized vehicle categories make it easier to compare trips across similar vehicles.
Capacity indicators
| Fields/Button | Description |
|---|---|
| Weight % / Trọng lượng % | Compares estimated shipment weight against the vehicle maximum capacity. |
| Volume % / Thể tích % | Compares planned shipment volume against the vehicle volume capacity. |
| Vehicle Category / Loại xe | Groups vehicles with a standard capacity profile for planning consistency. |
| Max Weight / Trọng lượng tối đa | The maximum permitted payload for the vehicle category. |
| Max Volume / Thể tích tối đa | The maximum permitted volume for the vehicle category. |
Dock management
Key points
• The dock location may be computed automatically when all pickings in the batch share the same source location.
• Users can still manually select an allowed dock when operational flexibility is needed.
• When the dock changes, related move locations can be updated to reflect the real staging area.
• This is particularly helpful in warehouses with multiple outbound gates or separate loading zones.
Vehicle category and warehouse setup
Steps
1. Go to Fleet → Configuration → Vehicle Models → Categories.
2. Set Max Weight and Max Volume for each vehicle category.
3. Return to the warehouse setup and review the configured delivery steps.
4. With Pick + Ship, Dispatch Management is commonly enabled on the Pick operation.
5. With Pick + Pack + Ship, dispatch logic may be attached to the Pack operation.
6. Receipts and Delivery Orders can also carry dispatch logic depending on the setup.
Practical tips
Key points
• Use ZIP code sorting to group geographically similar deliveries within a batch.
• Review Weight % and Volume % before final confirmation so a vehicle is not overloaded.
• Well-defined dock locations reduce confusion during loading peaks.
• For complex outbound operations, combine this module with batch picking before assigning the vehicle.
