Create New Equipment

Steps

  • 1. Go to Maintenance → Equipment.

  • 2. Click Create.

  • 3. Enter Equipment Name (e.g., CNC Cutting Machine 01).

  • 4. Select Equipment Category.

  • 5. Select Work Center (linked work center).

  • 6. Select Technician (responsible technician) and Maintenance Team.

  • 7. Click Save.

Configure Maintenance

In the Maintenance tab, configure maintenance parameters.

Key points

  • Preventive Maintenance Frequency: Preventive maintenance frequency (days)

  • Maintenance Duration: Expected maintenance time (hours)

  • Expected MTBF: Mean time between failures (hours)

Attach Equipment to Work Center

Two ways to attach equipment to work center.

Key points

  • From Equipment: Open Equipment, select Work Center, Save

  • From Work Center: Go to Manufacturing → Configuration → Work Centers, open Work Center, in Equipment tab click Add a line

Create Manual Maintenance Request

Steps

  • 1. Go to Maintenance → Maintenance Requests.

  • 2. Click Create.

  • 3. Enter Subject (request title).

  • 4. Select Equipment (equipment to maintain).

  • 5. Select Maintenance Type: Preventive or Corrective.

  • 6. Enter Scheduled Date and Duration.

  • 7. Select Maintenance Team and Technician.

  • 8. Set Priority (0-3, low to high).

  • 9. Click Save.

Preventive Maintenance

Configure preventive maintenance to automatically create periodic maintenance requests.

Steps

  • 1. Open Equipment.

  • 2. In Maintenance tab, enter Preventive Maintenance Frequency (e.g., 30 days).

  • 3. Enter Maintenance Duration (e.g., 2 hours).

  • 4. Enter Next Preventive Maintenance (next maintenance date).

  • 5. Click Save.

Automatic Maintenance Request Creation

System automatically creates maintenance request when Next Preventive Maintenance date arrives or when scheduled action runs (usually daily).

Corrective Maintenance

When equipment fails, create corrective maintenance request.

Steps

  • 1. Create Maintenance Request.

  • 2. Select Maintenance Type = Corrective.

  • 3. Select Failure Reason.

  • 4. Describe issue in Description tab.

  • 5. Set high Priority if urgent.

  • 6. Save and assign to Technician.

Process Maintenance Request

Steps

  • 1. Technician opens Maintenance Request.

  • 2. Click Start to begin.

  • 3. Perform maintenance.

  • 4. Note work done in Notes tab.

  • 5. Click Done when complete.

Integration with Work Centers

When Maintenance Request is created, system automatically creates Leave for Work Center and blocks work center during maintenance period.

Key points

  • Work Center is blocked during maintenance

  • Work Orders cannot be scheduled during this time

  • Conditions: Request has Scheduled Date and Duration, Stage has Request Confirmed = True

View Work Center Schedule

Steps

  • 1. Go to Manufacturing → Planning → Work Orders.

  • 2. Switch to Gantt view.

  • 3. View scheduled Work Orders (green), Maintenance (red/orange), Free time.

Track MTBF

MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) = Total operating time / Number of failures

Key points

  • High MTBF: Stable equipment

  • Low MTBF: Frequently failing equipment, needs inspection

  • View MTBF: Open Equipment, view MTBF field (auto-calculated), compare with Expected MTBF

Track MTTR

MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) = Total repair time / Number of repairs

Key points

  • Low MTTR: Fast repairs

  • High MTTR: Slow repairs, needs improvement

  • View MTTR: Open Equipment, view MTTR field (auto-calculated)

Maintenance Reports

Steps

  • 1. Go to Maintenance → Reporting → Maintenance Analysis.

  • 2. View analysis: Request count by type, Average maintenance time, Maintenance costs, Most frequently failing equipment.

  • 3. Group by: Equipment, Maintenance Team, Scheduled Date.

Practical Tips

Key points

  • Preventive maintenance: Set frequency per manufacturer recommendations, schedule during low-impact times

  • Corrective maintenance: Prioritize critical equipment, document causes and solutions in detail

  • Optimize Work Centers: Attach all equipment to Work Centers, configure preventive maintenance for critical equipment

  • Manage spare parts: Create products for commonly used parts, set reordering rules
