How to Use

Steps

  • 1. Install POS MRP module in Odoo

  • 2. Create Bill of Materials for products: Manufacturing → Products → Bill of Materials

  • 3. Define ingredients and quantities needed for each product

  • 4. Configure product: enable "Can be Manufactured" in product form

  • 5. Configure POS: Point of Sale → Configuration → Point of Sale

  • 6. Enable "Manufacturing Integration" option in POS settings

  • 7. Open POS session and start selling

  • 8. When selling products requiring manufacturing, system automatically creates manufacturing order

  • 9. Production department receives order and starts making

  • 10. Mark as complete when production finished, order automatically updates


Scenario 1: Restaurant receives food order

Customer orders "Special Beef Pho" at POS. System automatically creates production order, sends to kitchen screen. Kitchen receives order, prepares ingredients per recipe.

When complete, mark "Done", wait staff notified to serve dish.

Customer orders "Cappuccino size L". POS creates production order with recipe: 2 espresso shots, 200ml milk, milk foam. Barista receives order on screen, prepares per recipe.

System automatically deducts ingredients: coffee, milk from inventory.

Customer orders birthday cake at POS, selects size and decoration. System creates production order with ingredient list: flour, eggs, cream, sugar.

Baker views order details, prepares ingredients and starts making. Customer notified when cake complete.
