How to Use
Steps
1. Register Adyen merchant account and get API credentials
2. Install POS Self Order Adyen module in Odoo
3. Configure Adyen: enter API key, merchant account, environment (test/live)
4. Set up payment methods: select cards, e-wallets, contactless
5. Create QR codes for tables and activate POS Self Order
6. Customers scan QR, view menu, select items, add to cart
7. Customers review order, select "Pay"
8. Choose Adyen payment method (card, wallet, Apple Pay, ...)
9. Enter payment information or tap card/phone (contactless)
10. Adyen processes transaction, returns result in seconds
11. Payment successful: order automatically sent to kitchen, customer receives confirmation
12. Payment failed: display error, allow retry or choose different method
Scenario 1: International card payment
Foreign customer orders via self-order, chooses to pay with Visa. Enters card info, authenticates with 3D Secure.
Adyen processes transaction, automatically converts currency (USD to VND). Payment successful, order to kitchen.
Scenario 2: E-wallet payment
Vietnamese customer chooses to pay via Momo. System redirects to Momo app, customer confirms payment.
Momo processes via Adyen, returns result to POS. Payment successful, customer returns to self-order app sees confirmation.
Scenario 3: Apple Pay payment
Customer using iPhone, selects Apple Pay. Holds phone to payment terminal or authenticates with Face ID on phone.
Transaction completes in 2 seconds, no need to enter card info. Order confirmed immediately.
Scenario 4: Payment failed and retry
Customer enters wrong card info or card has insufficient funds. Adyen returns "Insufficient funds" error.
System displays error message, allows customer to retry with different card or choose another payment method.
Scenario 5: Refund on order cancellation
Customer already paid but wants to cancel order for personal reasons. Staff processes order cancellation in POS.
System automatically sends refund request to Adyen. Money refunded to customer's card/wallet in 3-5 business days.
