Quality IoT in Odoo
Connect IoT devices to quality workflows so measurements, pictures, and labels are captured faster and more accurately.
Quality IoT connects physical devices such as scales, calipers, cameras, and label printers to Odoo quality checks through the IoT Box.
Instead of manual entry, users can capture measurements directly from hardware, take pictures automatically, and store the evidence on the quality check itself.

Basic setup
Steps
1. Make sure the IoT, Quality, and Quality IoT modules are installed.
2. Connect the IoT Box to the network and confirm the Connected state in Odoo.
3. Attach USB or Bluetooth devices to the IoT Box and verify they appear in IoT → Devices.
4. Open the device record to confirm the Device Type and compatibility with the intended quality check.
Attach hardware to a quality point
Steps
1. Create or open a quality point.
2. Choose the Test Type as Measure, Picture, or Print Label.
3. Select the matching IoT device from the list.
4. For Measure checks, define Norm and tolerances so Odoo can evaluate the result automatically.
5. Save the quality point so future quality checks can use the hardware.
