Setup Instructions
Steps
1. Install POS Settle Due module in Odoo
2. Ensure Account and POS modules are installed
3. Go to Point of Sale → Configuration → Point of Sale
4. Select POS to configure
5. Enable "Allow Settle Due" in Payment tab
6. Select default journal for due settlement
7. Configure access rights for staff

Steps

Scenario 1: Customer pays monthly dues
Customer buys on credit all month, comes to store at month end to pay. Cashier selects customer, clicks Settle Due, sees 10 unpaid invoices totaling 50 million. Customer pays in full, system automatically reconciles 10 invoices.
Scenario 2: Partial payment of dues
Customer owes 30 million but only has 20 million. Cashier receives 20 million payment, system automatically allocates to oldest invoices first (FIFO), remaining 10 million stays unpaid.
Scenario 3: Pay specific invoices
Customer has 5 unpaid invoices, wants to pay 2 specific ones. Cashier selects those 2 invoices, receives payment, remaining 3 invoices stay unpaid.
Scenario 4: Customer disputes invoice
Customer says already paid 1 invoice but system still shows due. Cashier checks payment history in POS, sees payment was recorded but not reconciled. Contact accounting to resolve.
Scenario 5: Restaurant regular signs for credit
Regular customer eats daily, signs for credit. Comes on weekend to pay, cashier views history of 7 unpaid meals, total 2 million. Customer pays, print receipt.
